Commissioned by NASA (and published by the NASA History Division), this book presents a complete historical chronology of every single robotic space probe that humans launched into space between 1958 and 2016. The list includes probes that flew past the outer planets and some that never got beyond the launch pad. The book thus represents a comprehensive record of humanity’s attempts to explore the planets, moons, minor planets, the Sun, and other celestial bodies beyond Earth orbit.
